MADELINE HOPE STEPHENSON -
CO-DIRECTOR/CINEMATOGRAPHER/EDITOR
Madeline Stephenson is a New York-based director and screenwriter. At age 9, she saw Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. The rest is history.
Madeline began her formal filmmaking education at Tisch School of the Arts and went on to shoot her thesis film Dream Lover, which was the recipient of the Arkush Family Post-Production Award. In her final year at school, she became one of two directors chosen to direct a pilot for NYU’s Advanced Television Workshop class. The finished pilot for Sheridan generated interest from certain major networks such as The C.W. and Freeform.
Throughout Madeline's career as a filmmaker, she has had the opportunity to direct more than ten short films, including the neo-noir Staten and Whiskey, the post-apocalyptic drama The Awful Thing, and silent film tribute Terry: The Serious Actor, which went on to become an official selection at the Coney Island Film Festival, New Filmmakers NY, New Filmmakers LA, the Roxy Underground Film Festival, the Rockland Youth Film Festival (where it won Best Silent Film), and more, ultimately finding distribution on Seed & Spark.
